While Ajay Devgn’s suspense thriller enjoyed a record-breaking theatrical run earlier this month, its momentum has cooled down significantly entering its third week.

Jailer 2 Craze Overshadows Drishyam 3’s Third Week Momentum

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 landed in theatres with immense fanfare, delivering a phenomenal opening week response nationwide. Following a staggering start, the superstar-led actioner sustained its high-octane run, minting over ₹30 crore on its first Friday.

In contrast, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion witnessed a sharp deceleration, pulling in around ₹2.52 crore to ₹3 crore on its third Friday. This marks the lowest single-day collection for the psychological thriller since its premiere, signaling a shift in audience footfalls toward the new box office giant.

A Historic Box Office Journey for Ajay Devgn

Despite the recent slowdown, Drishyam 3 has already etched its name in the history books. Setting new benchmarks for Ajay Devgn, the film opened with a massive pre-release advance booking of ₹27 crore before setting the ticket counters ablaze with a monumental ₹66.75 crore net opening day across India.

  • Week 1 Collection: The film closed its first week with an extraordinary ₹245.50 crore net.

  • Week 2 Collection: Sustaining strong word-of-mouth, the second week added another ₹87.50 crore net to its tally.

  • Total Domestic Net: Bringing its cumulative domestic collections comfortably past the ₹335 crore milestone.
